ABOUT ME

PERSONAL

I am joyfully married to an outstanding husband (former Captain in the US ARMY) since April 2012. We love to travel and both enjoy participating in ministry groups and philanthropic events. Since my Graduation from Auburn University in 2010, we have traveled and lived across the US - because of my husband's career. We lived in Olympia, WA for 3 years while he was stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord and I began my career with The Hershey Company. My husband departed from the military at the end of 2012, which gave us the opportunity to move closer to our families. We chose the beautiful and calm city of Melbourne, Florida as our new home. I was blessed to transfer with my company and my husband found a career to give him the challenge he needed as a RN - caring for post operation heart surgery patients!

CAREER

I am an experienced business consultant who utilizes marketing and sales initiatives to grow independent and chain retail stores. I began my career in 2009 while gaining a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at Auburn University. My passion for strategic planning, sales, and marketing flourished while performing in-depth case studies on the nation's most dominant corporations: Microsoft, The Hershey Company, and Starbucks (to name a few). The passion that Paul Allen, Bill Gates, and Milton Hershey each possessed inspires me to continually pursue opportunities for intellectual growth while improving the lives of those around me.

In 2010, I began working as a sales consultant for The Hershey Company. I manage approximately 30 independent, mass, and national retail accounts. Using consultative business partnering, market data, and analytical tools I collaborate with clients to build sustainable and profitable sales growth. On a quarterly basis I meet with managers and executives of these accounts to provide sales updates, identify opportunities for growth within their markets, and develop strategies to grow their business. I work within these accounts to ensure the implementation of the discussed strategies by communicating, assisting, and bench-marking their progress.

In 2012, I took over a team directed at growing the sales of a large grocery chain statewide. At quarterly meetings I present sales and marketing strategies to my team & promote collaboration to develop result-oriented action plans aimed at driving sustainable growth. To drive sales and instill passion, I developed an innovative technique promoting healthy competition and recognition. In doing so, I saw effectiveness and efficiency dramatically increase with-in the team, which landed my team with-in the top 10% of sales teams nation-wide!

VALUES

My foundation is in Christianity. I utilize an ethical faith-based approach to business practices. I choose to operate within businesses with the same values.

EXPERIENCE

Sales Consultant | Representative, The Hershey Company

I Managed a diverse portfolio of accounts that included Independant, Mass, and National retail stores. I learned the value of practicing consultative sales techniques to grow collaboration and ultimately sales. I learned the "in's and out's" of food retail from trip-drivers, impulsivity, share value, distribution, margin, the value of benchmarks, and the importance of insight driven performance data like Nielson reporting. I planned meetings and executed meetings with executives, clients, and peers, where I professionally presented strategic action plans designed at creating efficient sales and share growth. I eventually was given the opportunity to lead a team of sales representatives to drive the growth of a national grocery chain. I created and executed programming that led to our chain having the largest share growth and outperforming the entire foods category in the northwest.

Promotions, Premium Beverage Company

I began as a promotions employee to set up events and sell merchandise. Shortly after I had the opportunity to manage at team of 6-8 promotion assistants. I coordinated and planned the events by meeting with business owners and clients and discussing opportunites to enhance their business utilizing our products and promotions. I built collaborative business partnerships with businesses to maintain repeat business opportunities and enhance our network of clientele. I managed budgets and financial objectives and aligned marketing objectives to ensure funds were spend effectively.

Keyholder | Buyer, Plato’s Closet

I managed, supervised, and trained new employees to ensure that they complied with company values and regulations. I managed all aspects of the retail store including opening and closing duties. I met with the store owner to review financial statements (Cash Flow, inventory reports, Retained Earnings, and Profit and Loss) in order to find opportunities and develop strategic sales initiatives. I drove brand strength and consumer awarness through campus recruitment, radio advertisement, and visual merchandising aids.
